The apartment

The apartment is furnished to a high standard and has air conditioning. Overlooks the sophisticated international marina with its many superb restaurants and bars, which can be reached within a 3 minute walk.

Our ground floor apartment enjoys stunning views overlooking the beautiful Cala D'or cosmopolitan marina, the terrace really does have the most fantastic views over the marina- it's a pleasure to sit and watch the yachts and luxury power boats come and go.

Within easy walking distance you have a choice of 3 beautiful, safe sandy cove beaches for carefree endless sunny days. Our favourite beach is Cala Dor, its opposite the 4 star Cala dor hotel and within walking distance (although in the heat of the day you may wish to stop halfway for a drink). It is a beautiful small sandy bay, fringed with greenery and turquoise water. There is a snack bar on the beach and they serve a nice jug of Sangria!

The fully airconditioned apartment is situated on the ground floor and furnished to a high standard, there are two large double bedrooms each with twin beds, the main bedroom enjoying ensuite facilities with bath and shower.

Each bedroom has a dressing table, bedside cabinets and large wardrobes and a cot for a baby.

The fully fitted kitchen has an oven, hob, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board. There is a breakfast bar separating the kitchen and dining room. The dining area adjoining the living room has a full size dining table and chairs.

The living room is comfortably furnished with a sofa and easy chairs, a colour TV with DVD player and hifi /CD player. The sofa bed converts into a double bed to accommodate a further two people.

From the living room through double doors leading onto a part covered tiled terrace there are magnificent views over the marina, ideal for alfresco dining. The terrace is well equipped with table, chairs and sun loungers for day time relaxing.

The extended terrace leads down a small set of steps directly into the palmed private communal garden area with its sculptured swimming pool. Sun loungers are available strictly for residents and guests use only.

Within walking distance you have a choice of 2 or 3 beautiful safe sandy beaches,and the pedestrianised resort centre of Cala D'or with its numerous pavement restaurants and bars.The apartment is in a magnificent location with marina, central Cala D'or and beaches all within waking distance, yet it still maintains a peaceful surrounding and does not suffer from any noise generated from the restaurants on the marina.A mini train stops opposite the apartment for a round trip to see the resort, or to stop off at Cala Ferrera or Cala Gran Beach. There is also a shop opposite the front of the apartments for your essential groceries (also sells wine and beer).

ACTIVITIES

Only a short stroll brings you down to the marina itself offering a multitude of superb and varied restaurants and bars.

There is a mini train that stops to the front of the apartments on the hour. This will take you around Cala D'or and into Cala Ferrera. Stopping at Cala Gran and Cala Ferrera beaches.

A second mini train stops on the Marina and goes into Cala Mondrego beach and National park- well worth a visit, it's a beautiful beach with a great restaurant and beach bar. There is a shop conveniently placed for groceries across a small (quiet, non busy) road to the front of the apartments. This is also where the mini train stops on the hour.

Some guests have also used the facilities at the hotel opposite (evening entertainment, childrens pool and snack bar, park, pool table etc). The hotel doesn't seem to mind - my kids sometimes use the park - and pool area for a change. It's a family hotel so lots of kids about - but you can then escape back to the peace and tranquillity of our apartment pool area.

If you fancy a change of scenery from the marina, why not take a walk into the resort centre of Cala D'or with it's numerous pavement restaurants and bars, pedestrianised for balmy perfect family evenings. Beaches, Golf, National Parks, Pubs & Clubs, Sailing, Watersports
